My name is Chang, Jung-Hung, and 18 years old. I was born in central Taiwan. There are five people in my family. My parents are general manager and manager of a management consulting company. They put much emphasis on children’s education. Because I used to receive my past education in Asia, they strongly encouraged me to go to Canada to receive further education.
In Taiwan, students are under huge pressure owing to our educational system. Sometimes I feel that I have too many tests to prepare that I can’t really focus on something that I am truly interested in. On the contrary, western education give students more space to do what they want to do. In this way, they will have more chance to receive all-around education without much limits caused by their educational system. Thus I am very happy that my parents give me opportunity to go abroad to pursue further education.
Although I am not an outstanding student in regard of my academic studies, I am interested in learning. I think that learning helps me grow and bring new ideas to me. The most important thing is that knowledge brings me power on many things. Thus if I have the opportunity to enter your esteemed school, I will try my best to absorb as much knowledge as I could.
In my school days, I was popular and won a lot of friendship. I got involved in lots of activities, such as “go,” Tae Kwon Do, pop dance, dodge ball contest, classroom decoration, and so on. For me, these activities are very important because I learned a lot from these activities. Best of all, I knew how to care for people and to be thoughtful.
In this paragraph I would like to take you to review my plan in the future. In the short term, I expect myself to be a broad-minded person. I will study hard at your esteemed school. Besides, I would love to read diverse books so as to increase new knowledge. I hope to become a more mature person with global vision. On the other hand, I would like to get involved in various kinds of activities. The involvement will make me fulfill other talent beyond academic talent. My mid-term objective is to enhance my English proficiency. After I have good command in English, I will be able to make new friends and know other cultures
better. In the long run, I hope to enter a good university and get my degree successfully. Later, I will return to Taiwan and devote what I have learned at school to the society.
Your admission is crucial in my near future’s launch. Sincerely wish that after fully reviewing my application materials you can grant me a favorable consideration and inform me soon.
